This Birds of a Feather (BoF) session brings together the community to discuss, share experiences, and brainstorm the increasing role of object storage for AI workloads. As AI applications continue to grow, object storage is being utilized as a primary storage solution for many of these applications.
Emerging AI workloads demand low latency, high throughput, and robust support for small and random I/O operations. While storage solutions are optimizing their stacks to meet these requirements, inefficiencies remain in the client-side libraries and object protocols that sit between the application and the storage stack. These inefficiencies can prevent applications from fully exploiting the capabilities of object storage. In this session, we aim to explore the role of object storage in the AI pipeline and client-side library ecosystem.
