Istvan Fajth

Istvan is a senior staff software engineer at Cloudera working on Apache Ozone in the last five years of a nearly 20-year career. Istvan is a member of the Apache Ozone PMC. He likes to work on hard problems, and is fond of maintainability and the simplicity of code. In college, he had exceptional mentors and peers who helped him deepen the knowledge required for his passion, creating great software. Istvan is a critical thinker who quickly conceptually understands whatever part of the code on which he works. Istvan now mentors new team members in almost any topic related to Ozone, how Ozone is integrated, its security features, and Java. When he joined Cloudera, he started as a support engineer working on HDFS related problems for a little over three years during which he gained a good understanding of distributed storage systems.
