Three Days of Cloud Object Storage Interoperability Testing
We’re happy to share that our next SNIA Cloud Object Storage Plugfest will be held in Denver, CO, April 28 – 30! We are excited to build upon the success of our first Plugfest in September where engineers from Dell, Google, Hammerspace, IBM, Microsoft, NetApp, VAST Data, and Versity Software collaborated on tackling cloud object storage incompatibilities at SNIA Developer Conference (SDC) in Santa Clara, CA. Hear from these Plugfest participants at our live webinar, "Building Community to Tackle Cloud Object Storage Incompatibilities," on November 21, 2024.
This second Plugfest will be part of Regional SDC Denver, a one-day special edition of our conference on April 30th. Created by developers for developers, SDC is a premier educational conference dedicated to providing vendor-neutral information on advancements in data technology.
Start planning now, save the date, and pencil in your travel budget! Details on the Plugfest will be available soon, but now is the time to block your calendar, reach out to colleagues interested in participating, and start working on manager/travel approvals.
The Cloud Object Storage Plugfest is a unique, one-of-a-kind open forum opportunity for industry innovators to collaborate and enhance interoperability among private and public cloud object storage solutions. If your organization is developing S3-compatible object storage or develops other cloud software APIs that deploy object storage in any use case, your participation would be invaluable.
This Plugfest is a place where everyone can come together, test their tech, find problems, and fix them. SNIA takes care of the space and tools needed, while the people participating in the plugfest plan out the tests to make sure everything goes smoothly. Everyone agrees to keep things secret under (NDA).
You don't need to have a finished product to join in. Even if you think you're not ready, it's still a great idea to come, test your work, ask questions, and talk with others.
How Your Company Can Participate:
Step #1: Register your developer/product team to secure your placement into the Test Matrix; we will trade emails with you via askcloudplugfest@snia.org to answer questions.
Step #2: Once registered, your team will be invited to Cloud Object Storage Plugfest planning calls, and we coordinate to help you complete your Company Sign-up form and NDA form.
Step #3: After receiving the Company Sign-up confirmation email, a special plugfest registration link and code will be sent to your developer/product team plugfest participants
Step #4: Each plugfest participant then uses the special link and code to register and pay for the plugfest and conference.
