Ioan Stefanovici

Dr. Stefanovici is a Principal Research Manager in the Cloud Infrastructure Group at Microsoft Research Cambridge. His research focuses mainly on novel, disruptive storage technologies for the future cloud. He leads a small team of researchers and developers who solve hard systems challenges, sometimes using machine learning. He’s been a member of Project Silica since day one, and worked on various aspects of its signal processing, system design, and more.

Ioan lives in London with his wife, their grumpy 12-year old cat, and slowly-growing number of Maine Coon kittens.
