Heiner Litz

Heiner Litz is an Assistant Professor at the University of California Santa Cruz, working in Computer Architecture and Systems. His research focuses on improving the performance, cost, and efficiency of data center systems. Heiner has received the NSF CAREER award, Intel's Outstanding Researcher award, multiple Google and Facebook Faculty Awards, MICRO's best paper award, and multiple IEEE MICRO Top Pick awards. Before joining UCSC, Heiner Litz was a researcher at Google and a postdoctoral research fellow at Stanford University with Prof. Christos Kozyrakis and David Cheriton. Dr. Litz received his Diplom and Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim, Germany, advised by Prof. Bruening.
