Michael Hoard

Michael serves as Chair for the SNIA Cloud Storage Technologies (CST) group, where he leads community building and promotion of the SNIA Cloud Object Storage (COS) Plugfest and SNIA COS Test Tools provisional technical working group. Previously at Intel, Michael served as Intel DCAI Data Storage Strategist, responsible for integrating storage customer requirements into the Intel Xeon plan of record and roadmap, covering Xeon SP, AP, D as well as IPU and accelerators, while actively collaborating with leading Hyperscalers, Enterprise, HCI and SDS storage system providers. With over thirty years' experience in the storage industry, Michael energetically builds trust, consensus and productivity among highly collaborative teams, having served in a wide variety of roles including Seagate Outbound Marketing for HPC storage and national intelligence (GEOINT), IBM Product Management for Enterprise & Midrange Disk portfolio, IBM eServer Storage Architect, and Chairman of the Board for the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA).
