Pratik Mishra

Sr. Staff
AMD

Dr. Pratik Mishra currently works as a Research Scientist at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). He is responsible towards path-finding efforts for incubating full-stack deployable emerging memory and storage subsystems to realize composability and scalability in large-scale AI and super-computing infrastructures. Prior to joining AMD, Dr. Mishra was employed at Samsung Semiconductors at San Jose, CA. Contributions include R&D efforts to design and develop end-to-end storage solutions for adapting high-performance NAND-based NVMe intelligent storage device architectures in complex cloud/data-centric environments. Dr. Mishra's expertise lies in the intersection of cloud-scale distributed systems, operating systems, and storage/memory subsystems, with the primary focus on building efficient scalable systems while reducing the resource footprints and redundancies in the software IO stacks by enabling near-data processing (NDP). Dr. Mishra has authored several core publications and patents in the field of storage and memory systems, and constantly serves as Chair, Editorial Board Member and Program Committee Member for highly reputed conferences and journals in computer systems architecture. Dr. Mishra is also serves in the Advisory Council Board of Universities. Dr. Mishra is also versed with filesystems (local and distributed), object-storage, database technologies, AI storage infrastructure with under-the-hood application domain knowledge.
